This adapter enables you to connect SCSI disks with 80-pin SCA connectors to a standard SCSI controller with 50 or 68 pins. All the pins on the SCA connector are wired through, and it also provides power for the hard disk. Hotplug hard disks are therefore typically attached to SCA connectors. The adapter receives power from a standard 5.25  drive power connector. SCSI IDs, etc., can also be set using the jumpers.
